High fructose corn syrup is one of those mystery ingredients you see listed on a number of food products you purchase. The significant impact of hypertension is not difficult to develop if you make that amount of high fructose corn syrup a significant part of your diet.
Based on the study, even those with no prior history of hypertension found themselves at risk. On the other hand, those that lower and normalize their ingestion of high fructose corn syrup will decrease their risk of high blood pressure.
