The top five most popular fitness trends for 2010 are getting women excited about their workouts. These popular fitness regimes are a relatively new way to keep in shape and different from the humdrum workouts that women have been doing in the past few years. These fitness trends for 2010 are a sure fire way to have you involved in some sort of exercise program again.
Here are the most popular ways to keep in shape in the upcoming new year:
Group Training: Group training is a great way to get a personalized form of training by a certified trainer at a reduced rate. Because it is not one-on-one with a trainer it’s able to be offered at lower rate while still achieving the results that you desire from a private session.
Zumba: Zumba is an aerobic dance workout that combines various forms of dance steps, such as those taken from the salsa, mambo, samba, merengue and more. These steps combined with the native Latin music have got everyone dancing their hearts out while shedding pounds and inches at the same time. This effective form of fitness is great fun and becoming more popular.
Boot camps: Boot camps for women are a regimented program that involves various types of exercise and healthy eating. If you want quick results and a structured, disciplined program this is the one for you!
Time efficient workouts: Since time is a huge factor in our lives we have to go with the best workout that involves the least amount of time. This type of plan will help you to achieve your personal fitness goals in a time efficient manner.
Exergaming (exercise games): Who ever thought of this is genius! Using video games as a motivator, this form of exercise has many people on the move. One of the newest forms of exercise, programs such as the WiiFit have people getting up and moving in a fun way.
Have you tried any of those workouts I mentioned?
If so what did you like about them and are you going to continue to do them in the new year or try something different? Leave your thoughts below!

I have heard about “exergaming” a few times but I just think it’s ridiculous. Do I really need a video game to motivate me to exercise? I really would rather get outside, get some fresh air and work those calories off!
I work at a computer all day the last thing my body needs is for me to come home and stare at a TV screen, even if I’m kicking and jumping around. Outdoors or group exercise classes are so much better!
