exercise ballWhen I workout I don’t like to do the same things too often.  Every now and then I use a stability ball to enhance and challenge my body.

If you haven’t touched a stability ball or have no interest in using them here’s what you’re missing out.

    1.  Improves Your Posture

Using a stability ball is an excellent way to work your posture. Your muscles are introduced to an unstable environment and must work extra hard to maintain proper alignment.

    2. Improves Balance and Stability

Using a stability ball to perform exercises places you in an unstable environment forcing you to use your stabilizers and neutralizers to stay balanced in any given position or through a particular motion.

    3. Improves Nervous System Activation

A great benefit of improving your nervous system activation is that you are able to transform the strength you developed from your training program to real life situations.

    4. Strengthens the Core and Extremities

Stability ball exercises require constant activation of the core muscles which results to a more functional core, as well as sculpted abdominal and strong back muscles.  Using the stability ball with other exercise tools (medicine ball, free weights, etc.) will help develop your extremities while training your core muscles at the same time.
