Go Green, Lose Weight

Going green has been one of the hottest topics in the past few months and maybe even years. To celebrate Earth Day I decided to share with you a few tips on how you can go green and lose weight!

1. Ditch the car

A great way to lose some extra pounds is to simply just walk or jog to where you have to go. Instead of always using your car and burning extra fuel.

2. Go for a dip

When the weather get a bit hotter, instead of cranking up the A.C or shoving your head in freezer, go to your local swimming pool for a swim and to cool off. And if you do a couple laps in the pool you’ll be able to get your heart rate up.

3. Get a bike.

Ladies – if you want nice thighs and a toned butt…get a bike. It’ll get you places faster and you wont be adding to the current air pollution.

4. Get a reusable water bottle

If you drink bottled water then thats fantastic! Water is essential for losing weight and keeping your body pure. But to help you cut down on the amounts of bottles you have to recycle, consider getting a reusable water bottle so when your down all you have to is refill it.

5. Eat more fruits and veggies

With fruits and veggies, there’s nothing that you have to throw away – Actually…maybe a little bit like and apple core or banana peel but those can be easily put into a compost. You’ll get the essential nutrients form the fruits and veggies and saving on the garbage you’d have to throw out with processed and packaged foods.

So those are just some simple and great tips you can use to melt some fat and help out mother nature a bit. I want to encourage you to do your part, even if it’s something small, you’ll still be contributing in helping our planet be clean and healthy.

Happy Earth Day!
