The Number 1 Factor Is…

Alrighty, so summer is finished and it’s back to routine. Maybe you worked out during the summer or maybe you didn’t, whatever the case, you’re deciding to use September as a month to finally you’re your butt into gear and make it happen.

Chances are you probably already found yourself in this type of situation before, where you have the opportunity to start off fresh and with a clean slate ( think new years resolution).

But let me ask you this.  What’s different this time around? What’s going to be the factor allowing you to finally stick to an eating and exercise plan this time around?

Do you want to know what the number one factor is for many women being able to finally progress with their fitness is?

 Positive Support!

That’s right, having that positive support surrounding your life will constantly drive you to put forth 110%.   But before you go and ask random people to be part of your support group consider these guidelines to help yourself find the right people to help you on your quest.

  • Find someone who will make you accountable for your actions.  When you miss a workout for some pathetic reason this person will not tolerate excuses and tell you to go get your workout done!
  • Find someone who will not get jealous.  I know, this guideline might be something you’d see in a soap opera, but it all actuality you don’t want to have someone supporting you who will get jealous because you’re seeing results and they’re not, that only causes negativity, which you don’t want to be around.  And if there is negativity, run! Run as far away as you can.  Treat negativity like the plague!
  • Find someone who has similar goals as you.  You’ll enjoy your workouts a lot better if your support group is made up with a bunch of ladies who have similar goals.  If one person is training for a marathon and your just being able to jog for 10 minutes, then that’s not a great fit.

Following the above guidelines will truly help weed out the wrong people and help you attract the right people for your support group.   And once you have that support group you’re level of fitness, results and discipline will truly shine.
