    focusexerciseOne thing that really gets under my skin is going to do a workout and watching many individuals workout on some type of cardio machine along with a book, newspaper, their blackberries, or latest celebrity gossip magazine.

    Now don’t get me wrong I’m all for reading…but while you workout? C’mon.

    I’m a big believer in being focused with whatever I’m doing.  So if I’m going to workout, guess what?  I’m going to workout out, not read and exercise at the same time, but give 100% of my attention to my workout and nothing else.

    What’s interesting is that we tend to do this kind of thing often.

    For example, instead of eating your lunch and doing work on your computer, pick one thing.  Eat if you’re going to eat and do work if you’re going to do work.

    You’ll find that by focusing and being in the moment of what you’re doing, you’ll be less stressed, your mind will be clear and you’ll be that much more efficient.

    Here’s to living in the now!
