I was going through the mail this weekend and noticed that there were a bunch of flyers promoting gyms in the area. I think there had to be about 4 different flyers. I took a look at them and the prices ranged from $20.00- $80.00 bucks a month. I thought even if you didn’t join a gym for $20.00 and did everything at home or outside you’d be able to save yourself $240.00 smackaroos per year. This is good to know especially if you’re on a budget or think you need a gym to see results.
Here’s how I save my hard earned dollars and still be able to see results at the end of the day and how you can do the same.
Change Your Environment
Now one thing that gets a lot of people is a lack of motivation because their exercise routine is boring and dull. It’s easy to spice things up a bit and make it more interesting. Here’s an example. Lets say you like to go for a jog. You do the same route, three times a week. Over a period of time you’ll obviously get bored (I’m getting bored thinking about it). So why not look for some different terrain, find a nice trail, do some hill training, or run through a park?
Keep It Simple With Your Body-weight
There’s also a ton of bodyweight exercises that you can do at home or in your backyard. With bodyweight exercises you’ll be able to develop your lean muscle so you can burn fat and increase your bone density. You also don’t need any weights to accomplish this goal.
Get Some Bands
Once the bodyweight stuff gets a bit easier, use the extra money you have from not joining a gym and get your-self a set of exercise bands. These bands will add some nice resistance to your exercises so your able to tone up and define specific areas of your body. The nice thing about it is that they’re cheap and they last long.
Remember that to lose weight and become fit, you don’t need a gym to get results. Exercise is exercise not matter how or where you do it. The great thing about doing it at your home or in a park is that it’s under better circumstances which will make your weight loss process not only cheap but much more enjoyable.
