I love going to Raptor games. I love the crowd, I love the chanting, and I love the cotton candy
Every time I go to a basketball game it’s always interesting to see how the players communicate and respond to one another. Whether it be hand signals, eye contact or structured plays, the players all contribute to doing one thing – getting the ball into the basket.
And that contributes to winning the game – The ultimate goal.
So where am I going with this?
Well in terms of becoming fit and losing weight it’s very hard to do all of it yourself. In fact, many women who succeed in losing weight and changing the way they look rarely do it by themselves. Granted that most of the stuff they do, takes a large amount of self-discipline and effort on their part but they have other individuals help them and contribute to their goal (lose weight, tone up etc.) in some way, shape or form.
Imagine for a quick second that you were on a basketball team made up of just YOU. And the team you were facing had five players. How unfair would that be? Pretty unfair right? You couldn’t possibly do everything yourself and sooner or later you’d just get exhausted, frustrated and angry.
Unfortunately that’s what most women do, they think they don’t need anyone to help them and because the pressure they put on themselves is so great, they end up falling short of their ultimate desires and not get what they deserve.
If you’re doing everything by yourself I urge to stop right now. You’re doing it the hard way. Like the basketball team you should create your own team of individuals that will help keep you accountable and motivate you to keep going.
You can get a trainer or workout buddy to help you with the exercises. You can buy a healthy cookbook and learn how to cook healthy meals or take cooking classes. Your spouse/boyfriend can help motivate you to keep going when times are tough. Your brother or sister can act as a constant reminder of your goals when you want to overindulge in that double chocolate brownie. And when all these people are on your side, working together to accomplish one thing, you increase your chances of winning drastically!
Who’s on your team?
P.S - I started my coaching program on Monday and so far I’m having a blast with the women who have signed up so far. I still have s few spots left, so if you want me to be a part of YOUR team then head over to the coaching page, fill out the application and make it happen!
Good Luck!
