Celebrity magazines have always been something that I pick up to pass the time when I’m waiting for a client or just eating a quick snack. One thing that perks my interest are the articles that showcase normal women who lose weight and sahre to the readers on how they did it.
Now if your lookin’ to lose weight, I have no doubt in my mind that you would do the same thing that I do– which is to instantly, read the pages and find out what they do.
To me this information is a gold mine, simply because the women share the exact steps they take to slim down.
For the most part, these women share a few qualities that actually lead them to be successful. Here’s what they have in common and what you should have to.
Inner Drive:
You need something that drives you to lose weight. Whether it’s trying to fit into a dress you once could fit into or to look and feel better, you need to have that inner drive and use it to help pull yourself through tough situations.
Positive Support:
This has got to be the most important elements for serious weight loss. Trying to get fit and change your lifestyle is incredibly difficult without the help and support from friends, family and other people who share the same interests as you do. When your stuck and think you can’t make it, these people will encourage you to do your best and not give up.
Consistency:
Day in and day out you need to always stay on track. You can write in a journal, follow a program or add healthy routines to your lifestyle. The key is to constantly chip away at you’re ultimate goal every single day. Over a period of time all those little steps you took will eventually pay off.

Burning Desire:
Why do you want to be fit, lose weight, or have long, lean muscles?
You need to ask yourself these questions. There is something that you dislike about your body or want to change with your body and only you know what that is. For example you might say:
“I want to be fit so I am able to play with my children without sitting down every 2 minutes to catch my breath”
Your burning desire is to become fit not for yourself but for your children’s sake.
What’s your burning desire?
Self Confidence:
Without believing in your self, you won’t be able to accomplish anything. If you constantly put yourself down and have negative thoughts running through your head I suggest you read some self-help books and add more positive things (friends, support forum) into your life.
One thing that you need to be doing is talking to yourself. Giving yourself small “pep talks” will build your confidence and allow you to take action. Remember if you’re afraid of doing “something” 90% of the time…that “something” is what you need to do.
At the end of the day it’s not just about how much calories you eat or how much you exercise – there are mental and emotional situations you will have to deal with and being preapred for those moments will prevent you from breaking down and throwing your efforts out the door.

I admire those people that I read in blogs about their success stories on weight loss. It’s always in the mind, mind over matter. As long as you put complete focus on what your goals are then nothing can stop you from getting a healthier body! Check out this book which is called the Essential Weight Loss Handbook that I am reading on how to maintain a healthier life and body. Good day!
